World Bank Food Security & Nutrition Analysis

The need to prioritize and invest in nutrition has never been greater. The world is experiencing multiple, overlapping crises that exacerbate already fragile nutrition and food security situations. The World Bank Group is one of the world’s largest sources of knowledge and financing in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), with a record US$6.3 billion in IBRD and $4.3 billion in IDA commitments for fiscal year 2022.

An analysis on the financing for nutrition and food security of the World Bank was undertaken by ACTION to provide a more thorough understanding of the level of overall nutrition and food security commitments and disbursements and assess progress towards those commitments.

Here, we’ve collected a set of four key recommendations based on our initial analysis and findings.
