Where Does the Money Go? Unlocking Nutrition Investments to Strengthen Health Systems

Join us to explore how nutrition commitments can drive sustainable, equitable, and far-reaching impact for nutrition, immunization and universal health coverage.

Session Description

Where does the money from N4G commitments go, and which interventions should be prioritized to achieve impact on nutrition and health?

This side event will highlight high-impact, but underfunded, interventions that have the potential to transform health and nutrition outcomes, such as strengthening the delivery of community health and nutrition programming and integrating nutrition into primary health care.

Additionally, this event will explore how funding for nutrition, including from N4G commitments, could leverage global health initiatives (GHIs) like the Global Financing Facility (GFF) and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance and mechanisms such as the World Bank’s International Development Association (IDA). By prioritizing these investments, N4G commitments can help mobilize investments at the country level and help achieve the World Bank’s Universal Health Coverage (UHC) target of reaching 1.5 billion people with quality, affordable health services by 2030, while tackling malnutrition, improving immunization coverage, and addressing preventable but deadly diseases like tuberculosis.
