Louis Da Gama

Director, Princess of Africa Foundation (South Africa)

Mr. Louis Da Gama serves as board director for the Princess of Africa Foundation and humanitarian adviser to its founder, South African musician and celebrity Yvonne Chaka Chaka, supporting her role as UNICEF and Nelson Mandela’s 46664 Goodwill Ambassador. Louis has focused on communications and advocacy issues impacting malaria as well as advocacy for AIDS, TB, maternal, child, and newborn health.

He is a co-founder of Global Health Advocates (Switzerland/France). Currently, Louis is a non-executive director of Global Health Advocates France and the Princess of Africa Foundation. He works at the global, regional, country, and community level for greater transparency, accountability, and financial resources to fight malaria, AIDS, and tuberculosis (TB) and to finance reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health (RMNCAH).

Since 2005, Louis has served on the Communities Delegation to the Board of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and is the CSO member on the Global Fund Regional Malaria Mekong Country Coordinating Mechanism.

Louis has served as key adviser on the UNITAID Board Communities Delegation for 10 years (2007–2016) and served on the Roll Back Malaria Board Southern NGO Delegation until 2015.
