Patrick Bertrand

Executive Director, Global Health Advocates France

Mr. Patrick Bertrand has 20 years of experience in advocating for global health. He is the director and founder of Global Health Advocates France, an NGO focused on generating political momentum for global health on a domestic and international scale. Patrick is a founding member of the Action for Global Health Network, a European coalition focused on achieving the health MDGs, consisting of 15 NGOs based in five countries. He is also a founding member of the ACTION global health advocacy partnership consisting of advocacy organizations working to influence policy and mobilize resources to fight diseases of poverty and improve equitable access to health services. ACTION partners work across five continents in both donor and high burden countries. Global Health Advocates also coordinates the TB Europe Coalition in Brussels.

Patrick is actively involved in various health-related initiatives, including being a member of the Gavi CSO steering committee as well as the selecting committee of the 5% Initiative. He holds a Master’s in communications from the University of Grenoble, France.
