Sabina Rogers

Senior Manager, Healthy Start and M&E

Sabina Rogers wears a number of hats at the ACTION Secretariat, including child health and nutrition portfolio lead, knowledge management, and monitoring and evaluation (M&E). As lead of the healthy start portfolio, she supports ACTION partners in advancing their advocacy campaigns to mobilize donor and domestic resources for child health and nutrition programs, hold governments accountable, and create the political will to ensure a healthy start for all children.

Prior to joining the ACTION Secretariat, Sabina worked for the Microcredit Summit Campaign, a project of RESULTS Educational Fund, overseeing the State of the Campaign Report, the largest and most comprehensive annual survey on the outreach of microfinance to the poor and extreme poor, and led external communications and brand management. She also managed a project working with local implementation partners in India integrating health and microfinance under the Financing Healthier Lives project; with Freedom from Hunger India, Grameen Foundation, and Sa-Dhan, she helped build a community of practice that bridges the gap between the microfinance and health sectors.

Sabina has nearly 20 years international development experience both in the field and home office; she got her start in development as a Peace Corps volunteer in a small village in Togo, supporting community development led by local counterparts and helping create space for dialogue around gender equity, girls education, and female empowerment. During graduate school, she worked with the Afghan Youth Sports Exchange, managing sports development and leadership training clinics for youth in Afghanistan.

Sabina speaks English and French and holds an MS in Development Management from the School of International Service at American University and a BA in History and French from The Johns Hopkins University.
