Amanda Livingstone

Senior Advisor

Amanda provides strategic guidance, coordination, and technical support across ACTION’s portfolios. She facilitates synergies across ACTION’s three pillars: Ending the Epidemics, Healthy Start, and Equitable and Sustainable Systems and works to identify global advocacy and coordination opportunities across the partnership.

Before joining ACTION, Amanda worked for over a decade with INGOs and consulting firms on policy advocacy, strategy development, project management, communications, governance, grant writing, and resource mobilization for improved women’s and girls’ health and rights globally. Through her roles, Amanda worked to organize Global Citizens’ Dialogues at UNGA and WHA that enabled community activists to speak directly to their ministers of health and hold them accountable to their financial and policy commitments. She also helped mobilize over 1.2 million women and girls to share their self-articulated demands for improved reproductive and maternal health – the findings contributed to more than 15 global health policy changes and mobilization of over $11.7M in domestic resources. Amanda has developed and facilitated Advocacy 101 webinars for over 500 midwives globally and collaborated with high-net-worth philanthropists and celebrities to mobilize financial, political, and social support for U.S. abortion access.

Amanda holds an MA in International Human Rights with a Certificate in International Humanitarian Law from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies, University of Denver, and a BA in International Relations and BS in Anthropology from Loyola University Chicago.
